Candidates seeking admission to 1st year B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.Com.(Computers) /B.Com (Hons) /BSW/BMR Degree courses must have passed the Two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or an Examination of any other University/Board recognized as equivalent there to (other than Pre-Degree course in Oriental Languages).In respect of candidates who have passed +2 examinations other than Intermediate examination of Andhra Pradesh, the Principals may direct the candidates to obtain and produce Eligibility Certificate from the University. The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs.1000/- through D.D. drawn in favour of the 'Registrar, Osmania University" and submit the Xerox copies of Memo of Marks/Certificates of the qualifying examination of the Dy. Registrar (Academic), OU for issue of Eligibility Certificate. The Admission of such candidates should be finalized only after production of Eligibility Certificate, in order to avoid wrong admissions, which are liable to be cancelled at a later stage.
Admission to 1st year of the 3 – year Degree courses will be made in order of merit as shown by aggregate marks secured by the candidates at the qualifying examination, in one attempt. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in parts will also be eligible for admission but their cases will be considered only when all candidates under category above are accommodated
Certificates to be enclosed to the Admission Form
Marks Memo of Intermediate or Equivalent.
Transfer Certificate (In case of private study,the private appearance certificate form the Chief Superintendent of the examination or Principal of the college along with T.C. at S.S.C. level.
Caste Certificate issued by M.R.O.
Study and Conduct Certificate at Intermediate/Equivalent.
Local Area Certificate (In case of any change after passing the Intermediate Examination/Equivalent).
For ‘Instant’ candidates only : Hall ticket of intermediate.
Certificate in support of any other reservation claimed.
For students of other States/University Jurisdiction only. The migration Certificate issued by the competent authority
Instruction for the Admission
Candidates must attend the classes regularly.
Candidates with shortage of attendance will not be eligible to write University Examinations subject to the Rules of University in force from time to time.
Candidate seeking admissions into self-finance course are not eligible for concessions whatsoever, viz., Bus passes, Scholarships, etc.,
Admissions are made strictly, as per the merit and all admissions are provisional liable to change/cancellation date any time with out any notice or attributing any reason whatsoever.
Provisional lists of the Candidates admitted into 1 year would be displayed on the college notice only. No personal intimations are given. Therefore, the candidates themselves are solely responsible for noting the results and last dates of admission from the college notice board. If the fee is not paid within the last date, the admission ceases and their names are not considered thereafter.
If any of the certificates are found not genuine the admissions are liable for cancellation and the college reserves such right.
The candidate has to keep sufficient Number of Xerox copies of those certificates enclosed to the form, since the originals are not returned at any cost till the completion of the course or leaving the college, whichever is earlier.
Duplicate Transfer Certificates are not accepted for admission into 1 year degree courses.
Games certificate pertaining of Inter/equivalent examination alone are considered for giving admission into 1st year degree courses. No certificates at High School level are accepted. Such admissions are subject to verification of the games certificates.
Any extra curricular certificates must pertain to Inter/Equivalent levels only. No certificates of High School participation are considered for giving admission to 1st degree courses.
In case of PHC certificates the admissions are given in following order of priority.
Defect of eye(s).
Defect of upper limbs.
Defect of lower limbs.
If any two candidates have similar deformity, the percentage of deformity is taken into account to decide the admission. If the same percentage of deformity is found, the admission is given based on the aggregate of marks at the qualifying examination. All admissions mentioned under rule 13 are subject to verification of the certificates and if any of the certificates found not genuine, the admissions are liable to be cancelled summarily without any notice. Candidates have to give an undertaking to this effect.
No change of certificate enclosed to the admission form is allowed under any circumstances.
Candidates discontinuing their study abrupthy for any reason whatsoever, have to forego the fee paid to the college. No refund is allowed under any circumstances.
